Faculty Instructor Starting Internship at DeepMind

Faculty Instructor Sergey Bartunov is beginning a three-month internship at DeepMind, a research division of Google. During his time with the company, Bartunov will develop new neural network architectures and methods.

DeepMind was founded in 2011 before becoming a division of Google in 2014. The company works with advanced artificial intelligence systems, as well as general-purpose learning algorithms.

Several renowned young scientists will intern with DeepMind this year, including Stanford’s Andrej Karpathy and Durk Kingma from Amsterdam.

Sergey Bartunov, an instructor in the Joint Department with Yandex and a post-graduate student in the Bayesian Methods Research Group, led several data analysis seminars this year for juniors in the Software Engineering Programme. Congratulations, Sergey, on being selected, and we wish you all the best with your internship!
