Winter School-Conference on Bioinformatics 2026 held in Voronovo
The annual Winter School-Conference on Bioinformatics was held at the Voronovo UC of the National Research University Higher School of Economics with the participation of the co-organizer, the International Laboratory of Statistical and Computational Genomics, which was attended by more than 150 people from the HSE, IITP RAS, Skoltech, Moscow State University, and MIPT. The event was sponsored by "Genotek".
The annual Winter School-Conference on Bioinformatics was held in Voronovo from Febuary 12th to 16th.
The Winter School-Conference on Bioinformatics attracts a large number of students from different universities every year. This year, 150 people from HSE, IPPI, Skoltech, MSU, MIPT and other organizations took part in the event. The organizer was the Centre for Biomedical Research and Technologies together with the International Laboratory of Statistical and Computational Genomics. The School-Conference was held in a hybrid format as last year, the programme of which can be found on the website of the School-Conference.
During the school, the following issues were discussed: Z-RNA, influenza virus, comparative analysis of DeepZ predictions for mouse and human genomes, genetic computer and its role, bacterial genomics and much more. Participation in the school-conference helps students and young researchers to gain new knowledge and skills necessary for conducting modern scientific research.
This annual event plays an important role in the development of scientific research laboratories and the academic environment of the Faculty of Computer Science and the University as a whole.
