Strategy Workshop at the HSE AI and Digital Science Institute
On Februrary 27th, department heads and vice-heads of the HSE AI and Digital Science Institute participated in Strategy Workshop, titled "Joined Future".
The HSE AI and Digital Science Institute held a strategy workshop on the overall vision for Institute initiatives and development in the near future.
The following structural units were among the participants of the workshop:
- Centre for Biomedical Research and Technologies
- International Laboratory of Statistical and Computational Genomics
- International Laboratory of Stochastic Algorithms and High-Dimensional Inference
- Laboratory of Methods for Big Data Analysis (LAMBDA)
- Centre of Deep Learning and Bayesian Methods
- Laboratory for Matrix and Tensor Methods in Machine Learning
- Laboratory for Theoretical Foundations of AI Models
- Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Mathematical Finance
The event showcased the plans of close cooperation between the units and the industry as well as the relevancy of upcoming initiatives.
Centre Director Maria Poptsova, as well as vice-heads Artyom Bashkatov and Elena Zbiroskaya collectively took part in the workshop as representatives of the Centre for Biomedical Research and Technologies.
Areas of development within the structural units, as outlined during the debriefing, include: open-source solutions, staff, interdisciplinary projects, Technological Platform “Bioindustry and Bioresources”.
The four areas mentioned are put under control of the units and their respective heads. Discussion meet-ups on the topics relevant to these areas are to be held on a regular basis as well.
