Centre of Student Competitions of the HSE's Faculty of Computer Science helps students prepare for various team and individual programming contests, including ACM ICPC, Yandex.Algorythm, Google Code Jam, Russian Code Cup and many others.
Three HSE students from the Faculty of Mathematics and the Faculty of Computer Science won medals at the Vojtěch Jarník International Mathematical Competition held in the Czech Republic. Nikita Gladkov, a mathematics student, scored maximum points and was recognized as the outright winner in his category.
On Sunday, October 16, 2016, the Moscow Subregional Contest of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM ICPC) will take place at HSE. The Faculty of Computer Science will serve as a contest hosts for the second year in a row. To take part in the quarter finals, a team of three students must be formed and registered before October 9 (23:59:59).
HSE’s team has won four gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the International Mathematical Competition for University Students (IMС 2016), the most representative mathematics contest for university students. The team included students from the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Mathematics.
The 2015 ACM-ICPC World Finals sposored by IBM hosted by The Moroccan Association for Computing Machinery, Mohammed V University, Al Akhawayn University and Mundiapolis University were held today. The ACM international Collegiate Programming Contest, ICPC, traces its roots to a competition held at Texas A&M University in 1970 hosted by the Alpha Chapter of the Upsilon Pi Epsilon Computer Science Honor Society (UPE). The contest evolved into its present form as a multi-tier competition in 1977, with the first finals held in conjunction with the ACM Computer Science Conference
The final of the V-th Open championship BGUIR of competitive programming took course on 22-24 of April. Bachelors, Masters and also school students took part in the competition.
