Student Research

Students from the Faculty of Computer Science participate in two teacher-student research teams.

Teacher-student research team (TSRT) 'Input-Output' under the direction of Professor Eduard Baranov was created at the Faculty of Economics.  Research objective of TSRT is development of methodical recommendations about a projection and balancing of the tables 'expenses release' on the Russian Federation, construction and specification of such tables for the Russian Federation for the last decade  for the subsequent use of the received tables in the macroeconomic analysis. Five students of older years of a BS educational programme 'Applied Mathematics and Informatics' entered TSRT 'Expenses release": Denis Sokolov, Mikhail Rodichkin, Sergey Kuznetsov, Evgenia Korneva, Olga Starchikova. Elena Staritsyna, Senior Lecturer at the School of Theoretical Economics also enters TSRT.

Teacher-student research team 'Methods of the Analysis and Visualization of Web Corpora' continues work of teacher-student research team 'Methods of the Analysis and Visualization of Texts' which existed for two years at the Faculty of Computer Science. The TSRT works on construction and vusialisation of timed-dependet web corpora by means of reference graphs. The research includes using graph theoretical methods for reference graph analysis. TSRT is lead by professor Boris Mirkin. Performers of the project are students of older years of both bachelor educational programmes 'Software Engineering' and 'Applied Mathematics and Informatics': Maxim Yakovlev, Ivan Rodin, Anna Shishkova, the student of the master's programme 'Data Science' Mikhail Dubov, and also postgraduate students and researchers Dmitry Ilvovsky, Andrey Shestakoff and Ekaterina Chernyak
