Семинар НУЛ АГП "An example of Bhatwadekar and Dutta"

We will discuss some problems in affine algebraic geometry based mainly on the survey "The Zariski Cancellation Problem and related problems in Affine Algebraic Geometry" by Neena Gupta. We focus on discussing the example of Bhatwadekar and Dutta. This example is a candidate for being a counter-example to the Epimorphism problem. Also it has connection with Zariski Cancellation problem and A²-fibration problem. Bhatwadekar and Dutta provide a polynomial F in four variables such that the hypersurface {F=0} is isomorphic to the affine 3-space. We will give the proof of this fact. The problem whether F is a coordinate is open.
