Семинар НУЛ АГП "Regularization for subgroups of birational automorphism groups"

Let X be an algebraic variety and denote by Bir(X) the group of birational automorphisms of X. If G is an arbitrary subgroup of Bir(X), we say that G is regularizable if there exists a birational model of X such that all elements of G induce biregular automorphisms on this model. In my talk I will discuss regularization criteria for subgroups of birational automorphism groups in terms of natural actions on certain metric spaces and dynamical invariants associated to these actions. Also I will talk about some applications of these results to the study of finitely generated solvable subgroups of birational automorphisms.
