International conference and student school "Algebraic topology, geometry, combinatorics and data analysis" took place at HSE Kotchubey center

In August 2025, the International Laboratory of Algebraic Topology and its Applications held the international conference "Algebraic topology, geometry, combinatorics and data analysis" (August 11-13) and the student school of the same name (August 14-15). The events were held at the HSE Kotchubey Center in Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin, St. Petersburg). Plenary reports were given by the laboratory staff (Nikolai Erokhovets, Taras Panov, Georgii Chernykh), their colleagues from HSE (Anton Ayzenberg), Steklov Mathematical Institute (Victor Buchstaber) and its Saint-Petersburg Department (Gaiane Panina, Fedor Petrov), Sobolev Institute of Mathematics (Andrey Vesnin), University of Montenegro (Svjetlana Terzic) and Osaka University (Mikiya Masuda). The opportunity to give short presentations and posters was taken by the laboratory staff as well as students and postgraduates of NRU Higher School of Economics, Moscow State University and St. Petersburg State University.
The following mini-courses were given as part of the school:
-- Victor Buchstaber "Matrix algebra in theory and applications of n-valued groups" (2 lectures)
-- Andrei Vesnin "Orders on groups of three-dimensional manifolds" (2 lectures)
-- Taras Panov "Exponential actions and complex structures on moment-angle manifolds" (2 lectures)
-- Mikiya Masuda "Modular law for Hessenberg functions" (1 lecture)
The program, abstracts and slides are available on the events' page.
