Workshop "From Sequences to User Representations"

Abstract

Modern recommender systems learn about users from what they do: clicks, views, purchases, listens. This workshop is about turning these sequences of actions into models and user representations that actually work. We will discuss transformer-based and generative sequential models, semantic IDs, modeling long user histories, universal user embeddings, and how to evaluate such models reliably.
