Seminar 2 of the group

The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize people with the key concepts and terms of demography and sociology, which will be necessary for the further joint work of demographers and computer science specialists.

On February 15, 2016 in the framework of the seminar of the group, Mitrofanova E.S. gave a report on the topic "Prospects for analyzing demographic events using the seqence analysis method". The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the key concepts and terms of demography and sociology, which will be necessary for the further joint work of demographers and computer science specialists. Also in detail were described the data sets on which the studies will be performed. The basic concepts of what sequence analysis is, what methods it consists of, and how the demographic data is analyzed with it were also introduced.
