Title: Reservoir computing with logistic map

Speaker: Dr. M. Sathish Aravindh, Research Associate, Department of Nonlinear Dynamics,School of Physics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India.

Abstract: In this presentation, I will present an innovative approach to predicting both temporal and nontemporal tasks by utilizing virtual nodes within a reservoir computing framework, constructed using a nonlinear logistic map and a simple finite trigonometric series. Our method effectively predicts the dynamics of three nonlinear systems—Lorenz, Rössler, and Hindmarsh-Rose—for temporal tasks, as well as a seventh-order polynomial for nontemporal tasks, achieving high accuracy even in the presence of noise. The robustness of our approach is demonstrated through the low root mean square error values, confirming both the efficiency and reliability of this technique.
