On November 17-19, The HSE Faculty of Computer Science, SBER and cloud technology provider Cloud.ru organised HSE Sber ML Hack, a hackathon based around machine learning. More than 350 undergraduate and graduate students from 54 leading Russian universities took part in the competition.

FCS Team Takes First Place at Rosneft Universities’ Hackathon

A team from HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science took first place in a Rosneft hackathon held in October among the country’s universities. The hackathon was organised by the research institute RN-BashNIPIneft LLC. The competition participants had the chance to try their hand at solving real production problems.

First-year HSE Students Take Prize in LDT-2023 Hackathon

HSE University’s team Algorithmic Heist was among the winners of the 5th-anniversary Leaders of Digital Transformation hackathon, one of the country’s major IT competitions. More than 7,000 programmers, analysts, designers, marketers, project engineers, and IT entrepreneurs from across Russia and 37 other countries took part in the hackathon. The competition ended with a three-day final and an award ceremony held in Moscow in mid-June.

HSE University Students Win AMC Makeathon 2021

The AMC Makeathon is an annual makeathon from the American Center in Moscow (AMC). This year it was held online and focused on ecology, environmental literacy, and the green economy. First and second places went to student teams from HSE University. The News Service talked to representatives of the teams about the solutions they came up with.

On May 5, a team of first-year students of Software Engineering bachelor’s programme won the second place at the VirusHack online hackathon, hosted by Rostelecom and Moscow Agency of Innovations. The major topic of the hackathon was life organisation through technologies for people, business, and government in the changing world.
