Seminar 7 of the group
Within the framework of the seminar of the group, Mitrofanova E.S. and Artamonova A.V. gave a report on the topic "Studying Family Formation Trajectories' Deinstitutionalization in Russia Using Sequence Analysis".
On August 17, 2016, another seminar of the group was held. The results of the work of the participants of the group Mitrofanova E.S. and Artamonova A.V. on the study "Studying Family Formation Trajectories' Deinstitutionalization in Russia Using Sequence Analysis", dedicated to the de-institutionalization of matrimonial and reproductive biographies of Russians were presented.
The researchers found that:
- women begin matrimonial biographies before men,
- women are left alone with their children more often than men,
- the number of families forming events in the biographies of men and women is the same,
- de-institutionalization of matrimonial and reproductive biographies begins to be traced for cohorts of Russians born after 1970,
- the number of families forming events in biographies of men and women is invariable for different cohorts.
These results have become one more evidence of the onset of the Second demographic transition in our country.
