Genetic computer, or AI in bioinformatics

Abstract

Our genome contains many layers of information. Studying different parts of DNA is important for finding new ways to treat serious diseases. Today, scientists are using artificial intelligence models and even full-fledged software for this purpose. The latter allows genetic laboratories to work more accurately with personalised diagnostic results and pharmaceutical companies to look for areas to target in the body for drug development.

What is a genetic computer, and how does AI help discover algorithms encoded in DNA? How is the search for sections of DNA organised? How else are computers helping to study the human genome? Why and how are molecular biology Big Data being generated? And how is AI helping to discover new regulatory mechanisms at the molecular biology level? These and many other questions will be discussed at the workshop.
