School "Genetics and Epigenetics: Mechanisms, Structure, Function" at the Biology Department of Moscow State University, October 29-30, 2022

The International Laboratory of Bioinformatics participated in the School for young scientists "Genetics and Epigenetics: Mechanisms, Structure, Function" which was held at the Biology Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University from October 29 to 30, 2022.

To highlight the latest advances and state-of-the-art methods in epigenetic research, the Department of Biology at Lomonosov Moscow State University held a School for young scientists, "Genetics and Epigenetics: Mechanisms, Structure, Function" on October 29-30, 2022.

The scientific program of the School included lectures by leading scientists working in various fields of modern molecular biology: molecular epigenetics, epigenomics, epitranscriptomics, metagenomics, cancer cell genome variability, 3D genomics, etc. Presentations by leading scientists introduced the results of the latest research in this rapidly developing field of science.

A.K. Shaitan, a Research Associate of the Laboratory, made a report on "Structure, dynamics, and functioning of nucleosomes in chromatin" while M.S. Poptsova, Head of the Laboratory, made a report on "Secondary DNA structures as an additional information coding layer”.

As part of the school, young scientists had the opportunity to exchange experiences with internationally recognized experts in epigenetic and genetic research. The video broadcast is available here.
