The International Laboratory of Bioinformatics participated in the ITaS Interdisciplinary Conference October 2-6, 2022

The 46th Interdisciplinary School-Conference "Information Technology and Systems" (ITaS) was held October 2-6, 2022.

Leading experts gave plenary lectures and young scientists presented research results in the following areas of science and technology in the form of oral presentations and poster sessions:

• Bioinformatics;
• Machine learning and pattern recognition;
• In vivo information processes: from sensory to motor skills;
• Next Generation Telecommunications;
• Linguistics.

Within the section "Bioinformatics" the employee of the International Laboratory of Bioinformatics Galina Ohrimenko presented a poster report on "Genetic disorders in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension". The results of the joint work of the bioinformatics team and doctors from the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Additional Professional Education "Central State Medical Academy", Presidential Administration of the President of Russian Federation were demonstrated. In particular, genes and significant single-nucleotide polymorphisms associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension were found, and genetic features in a cohort of Russian patients with the corresponding disease were presented.
