New gene regulation mechanism discovered

An international team of scientists, with the participation of members of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science, has discovered a new gene regulation mechanism in which microRNA plays a leading role. The study allows a better understanding of the mechanisms responsible for the diversity of genetic programs in complex multicellular organisms.
Article «Conserved microRNAs and Flipons Shape Gene Expression during Development by Altering Promoter Conformations» published in the International Journal of Molecular Science.
