Information for students

Interim report on the project, in which it is necessary to reflect:

- Review of sources by subject area / comparative analysis of analogues;

- Specific work plan;

- First results on the project

Information for sofrware team project participants

1. Students working on a team project submit a group final report for CP 1, which should reflect:

• who from the team is responsible for the implementation of a certain part of the project;
• who from the team wrote a certain part of the report.

2. Recommendation for specifying the distribution of roles:

Description of the structure of the division of tasks between team members at the end of the introduction + Indication in each part of the substantive chapter (EXCEPT for the introduction, literature review and conclusion) who performed a certain part of the work on this chapter.

3. Recommended volume of the interim report:

4 pages + 2-3 pages for each participant of the project, starting from the second, i.e. the volume of the report for a project of 2 people is 6-7 pages, etc.

When writing a group report, EACH of the project participants must upload an interim report to Smart LMS.

Information for sofrware team project participants

When writing a group report, EACH of the project participants must upload an interim report to Smart LMS.

Students of AMIS/DSBA/CDS, who are performing a team project with students of SE, prescribe the general part of the report and their parts. It is necessary just to indicate the presence of SE teammates` part and write in a couple of sentences what it is, if it is important to understand the overall format of the project.

DSBA students working on a team project with AMIS/CDS students prepare a group report. DSBA students must submit this report in English, AMIS/CDS students may submit the final report in both Russian and English.

SE students working on a team project with AMIS/DSBA/CDS students prepare report documents according to the state standard – 2 Technical specifications (common + individual), Programme text, , check Submission of documentation -> Software Engineering.

Reporting documentation and NDA receipt (SE students only) are uploaded to Smart LMS in the section "Контрольная точка 1 / Checkpoint 1" in the block "Загрузить Документацию к КТ 1 / Download documentation for Checkpoint 1". In the same block there are templates for title pages and a template for an NDA receipt.

*A section "Checkpoint 2" will also be created later for SE students to download intermediate documentation on CP 2

The deadline for uploading CP documents to Smart LMS:

CP 1 for Software Engineering - December 4, 2024, for Applied Mathematics and Information Science; Computing and Data Science; Data Science and Business Analytics - February 4, 2025

CP 2 for Software Engineering - February 4, 2025

Before that date, your supervisor should have time to look at your documentation and tell you what edits need to be made.

If you do not upload documents to Smart LMS on time, the score for CP is automatically equated to 0.

Software Engineering

SE students have CP 1 & CP 2

CP is evaluated according to the pass/fail system, each control point weighs 0.05 in the final formula for the project: rounding(0.05* CP1 + 0.05* CP2 + 0.2*Supervisor's score + 0.7*Commission's score on defense)

• When making the grade for CP, the score for the corresponding CP in the final formula is equal to the supervisor's score in the review.
• When receiving a non -credit for CP, the score for the corresponding CP in the final formula is equal to 0.

A student makes the grade for CP if the following conditions are met:

- the interim report is uploaded to Smart LMS on time;

- the report meets the formal requirements (the structure, rules for the design of the report, etc.);

- the supervisor set a credit for CP

CP 1 is evaluated according to the pass/fail system and affects the final evaluation formula of the course project as follows:

When making the grade for CP 1 , the final score for the project is calculated according to the formula:

0.5 * Supervisor's score + 0.5 * CP2 (commission's score on defense)

When receiving a non -credit for CP 1 , the final score for the project is calculated according to the formula:

0.2 * CP 1 (equal to 0) + 0.3 * Supervisor's score + 0.5 * CP2 (commission's score on defense)

A student makes the grade for CP 1 if the following conditions are met:

- the interim report is uploaded to Smart LMS on time;

- the report meets the formal requirements (the structure, rules for the design of the report, etc.);

- the supervisor set a credit for CP
