HSE launches bot for employee networking

It will help people from different buildings and departments to communicate

In university everyday life, there is not always time and opportunity to communicate with colleagues. And if we know our immediate colleagues well, then people from neighboring departments are sometimes known to us only by the corporate email address. The Directorate for Digital Media and Promotion, with the support of the Faculty of computer science, launches A cup of HSE bot for employees of the Moscow campus, which will help build communication within the walls of the university, exchange experiences, and communicate by interests.

For 30 years, HSE has grown into a large company, the university now employs more than 10 thousand employees. The networking bot is designed to help the university community better adapt to the environment of colleagues, communicate with each other and build professional connections.

Once a week, the bot randomly invites you to meet with colleagues who have also registered in the bot. In order to join it, you only need a profile in Telegram. The bot is developed by the service GetMate Matching Solutions.

How the bot works

1. Follow the link.
2. Answer the bot's questions. The bot will use this data to match (bring together) people with similar interests and those who work next to each other. If the bot doesn't find the perfect people, it will suggest other employees.
3. Confirm your email. To protect everyone, you can register only through corporate mail.
4. Done! Now every Monday you will receive an invitation to meet with a new colleague. You can write to each other in Telegram or by mail.
5. If you don't want to participate in networking anymore, just deactivate the bot in the "Profile" section.

What if the bot doesn't find me a companion?

This also happens. If the bot can't find you an interlocutor, we will give you a set of anniversary merch.
