IDAO 2022 Task Presentation

On 1 February, the qualifying round of the IDAO 2022 Olympiad will start and run until 28 February. You can register for the Olympiad until 13 February here.

The presentation of the qualifying round task will take place on 3 February.

In 2022, the first round of IDAO involves solving a research problem. Participants will have to predict the properties of 2D crystals of various configurations. Such crystals contain only one atomic layer and have a unique energy landscape, which allows them to function as powerful accelerators, effective semiconductors, and optical information elements.

Speakers:

Sir Konstantin Novoselov, Nobel Prize laureate, National University of Singapore. He will talk about two-dimensional crystals and their properties.

Abdalaziz Rashid Al-Maeeni, LAMBDA researcher, HSE University. He will talk about the use of machine learning in the prediction of properties of two-dimensional materials.
