HSE 2017 Tuition Fees Announced

In 2017, HSE will enroll students in 216 undergraduate and master’s programmes, including over 20 English-taught programmes. Information about tuition fees for English-taught programmes can be found here. The application period for international students to HSE graduate and undergraduate programmes opened on November 1. This year, there are three application rounds. The final deadline is July 1, 2017.

Undergraduate Studies

In 2017, joining the two English-taught undergraduate programmes in Moscow will be three programmes in St. Petersburg. Bachelor’s programmes in Management, Political Science and World Politics, and Sociology and Social Informatics will include an English-taught track for international students starting from the new academic year.

In Moscow, there two English-taught parallel degree programmes implemented by HSE in partnership with the University of London. These programmes in International Relations (at Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs) and Economics (at International College of Economics and Finance) offer high quality world-class education at affordable rates.

Master’s Studies

In 2017, HSE will open a number of new or renewed master’s programmes, many of which are taught in English. They include Statistical Learning Theory, City and Technology, Quantum Information Technologies, and Applied Statistics with Network Analysis at HSE Moscow, and Comparative Politics of Eurasia at HSE St Petersburg.

HSE also offers new bilingual and Russian-taught programmes, such as Russian as a Foreign Language in Language and Cultural Interaction, as well as Cultural and Intellectual History: Between East and West – the latter is organized jointly with the University of Cologne and University of Warsaw.

The university offers a total of 25 English-taught master’s programmes. The minimum tuition fee will be 175,000 rubles at HSE Nizhny Novgorod, and 270,000 at several programmes offered by the Moscow campus.

Tuition-free Studies and Preparatory Year Programme

Prospective students can apply for Russian government scholarships (quotas) that will cover the full cost of tuition at HSE for full-degree programs. Undergraduate parallel degree programmes with University of London and other select programs are not eligible for these scholarships.

Last year, 830 students received quota scholarships. In order to be considered for a quota scholarship, please submit your application no later than May 1, 2017.
