On November 17-19, The HSE Faculty of Computer Science, SBER and cloud technology provider Cloud.ru organised HSE Sber ML Hack, a hackathon based around machine learning. More than 350 undergraduate and graduate students from 54 leading Russian universities took part in the competition.

Data Analysis and Personalised Medicine: Summer School in Cardiogenetics
The Continuing Professional Development Centre of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science has recently hosted the summer school 'Cardiogenetics: From Sequencing to Constructing a Cardio Panel'. Valery Rodionov, member of the Russian team who took gold at the 2023 International Olympiad in Informatics, has enrolled at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science. The intellectual competition took place in early September in Hungary.
Demand for Master’s Degrees in Data Science Quadruples Since Last Year
According to analytics from HSE University’s online campus, the demand for the Master of Data Science online Master’s programme has quadrupled, and the number of applicants doubled compared to last year (more than 250 students). Data science ranks first in demand among all HSE master’s degree programmes taught online.
