Moscow International School of Physics (MISP)
Moscow International School of Physics took place from 3 to 9 March in the HSE Study Centre Voronovo. Organised by the HSE University’s Laboratory of Methods for Big Data Analysis, Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Skoltech, the School encompassed a wide range of topics including theoretical and experimental physics, cosmology, machine learning, and mathematical physics.
This year 87 young researchers and students from multiple countries attended the School. Lectures were given by researchers from world-class universities and research centres. Among them were
· Evgeny Akhmedov (Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics)
· Fedor Bezrukov (University of Manchester, Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences)
· Nikita Nekrasov (Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, Institute for Nuclear Research)
· Monika Pepe Altarelli (CERN)
· Konstantin Postnov (Sternberg Astronomical Institute of Lomonosov Moscow State University)
· Riccardo Rattazzi (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne)
· Andrei Ustuzhanin (HSE University).
The School also hosted the Young Scientist forum, which presented participants’ research. New theoretical and experimental results will be published by Bulletin of the Lebedev Physics Institute – international peer-reviewed journal.
