IMC'21: three "golds" and a "silver"
Students of the Faculty of Computer Science have successfully competed in the International Mathematical Competition for University Students IMC'21. IMC'21 is the most prestigious mathematical competition for students and has been held annually for three decades.
This year, like last, the Competition was held online, which noticeably increased the number of participants: instead of 360 participants and 77 teams in 2019, their number skyrocketed in 2021 to 590 and 113 respectively. The number of participants in the "teamless" team also increased from 24 to 93.
As competition increased, the students of the Applied Mathematics and Information Science programme showed fine results: Ivan Safonov (third year of studies), Daniil Ivanik (second year) and Fedor Kuyanov (first year) won gold medals; Mikhail Petrov (second-year student) received a silver medal.
Congratulations to our students!
