Students of the Data Science and Business analytics double degree programme receive awards and letters of commendation for their academic achievements.

On October 26-30, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Probability, Learning Theory Event (SAMPLE) conference took place in Gelendzhik, Russia.

In early September, the first event of the Genetics of Cardiovascular Diseases consortium - an interdisciplinary forum "Cardiogenetics and Bioinformatics: Realities 2021" - was held at HSE University. The forum marked the start of the consortium after signing an agreement on scientific cooperation between the participating organizations. The forum was attended by heads and representatives of scientific centres and institutes from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Arkhangelsk, Tyumen and Surgut.

Tigran Ramazyan, a fourth-year student of the Data Science and Business Analytics double-degree programme, has talked about his studies at the Faculty and internship at CERN openlab.

The second international Summer School on Machine Learning in Bioinformatics took place on August 23–27. This year’s school featured 533 participants from 53 countries.

Laboratory on AI for Computational Biology has opened at the Faculty not so long ago. We talked with its head, Attila Kertesz-Farkas, about the lab, research and his way in science.

The ABZ 2021 Meeting was held virtually on May 19, 2021, at the Faculty. The first of its kind, this international conference gathered more than 200 scientists from many disciplines to specifically address progress in research involving Z-DNA and Z-RNA. 

Three teams of the students of the Applied Mathematics and Information Science bachelor's programme were awarded diplomas and medals.

Until April 20, you can apply to take part in the Math of Machine Learning 2021 contest. The winners of the contest will be able to enrol into HSE University's Math of Machine Learning master's programme and  Skoltech's Data Science master's programme (Math of Machine Learning track) without entrance exams.
