The number of international laboratories run in cooperation with leading international scholars is set to expand at HSE University. The competition aims to support the existing and create new research teams. Applications will be accepted from July 10 to August 31, 2020.

On June 23, the HSE Business Incubator will launch a new acceleration programme for business projects at the pre-seed stage (taking them from the prototype to their first sales). Start-ups developed by HSE University students and staff can participate in the programme for free.
The organizers are asking everyone who had submitted their work to the competition to send it again. Applications are open until December 20th
HSE's Faculty of Computer Science and Skoltech are pleased to announce the launch of the second joint Olympiad in Statistical Learning Theory (SLT). The competition will be open to undergraduate and graduate students specializing in fields related to Applied Mathematics and Informatics. Following a pre-selection phase (application details below), the Olympiad finals will be held at Skoltech on April 6-7, 2019.
The application period for HSE’s Student Research Paper Competition has started. The winners will have an opportunity to take part in workshops on academic skills development, while those in state-financed studies will improve their chances of seeing their academic scholarships increased. Also, in addition in HSE students, learners from other academic institutions are eligible for this competition.
A new English-taught course offered by the HSE Faculty of Computer Science kicks off on Coursera on July 17, 2017: Mobile Interaction Design: How to Design Usable Mobile Products and Services. Its author is Pavel Manakhov, Associate Professor at the HSE School of Software Engineering and Lead Interaction Designer at UsabilityLab.
From 17 to 23 July the third international school "Machine Learning in High Energy Physics 2017" (MLHEP 2017) will be held in the city of Reading, Great Britain. Within the framework of the summer school there will be lectures and seminars, which will demonstrate real examples of how modern technologies of machine learning allow us to give more precise answers to questions about the structure of our universe.
HSE has teamed up with the University of California at San Diego (ranked 14th on the ARWU ranking, 41st on THE, and 59th on QS) to launch the new Data Structures and Algorithms specialization on Coursera. The specialization is taught completely in English and consists of five interrelated courses. Registration is open until March 7.
On October 18, 2015 for the first time ever, the Faculty of Computer Science at HSE will host the quarter-finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest, ACM ICPC.
