From 17 to 23 July the third international school "Machine Learning in High Energy Physics 2017" (MLHEP 2017) will be held in the city of Reading, Great Britain. Within the framework of the summer school there will be lectures and seminars, which will demonstrate real examples of how modern technologies of machine learning allow us to give more precise answers to questions about the structure of our universe.

On 25th of April Faculty of Computer Science held a Workshop on Computer linguistics and language science, which was organized jointly by the Department of data analysis and artificial intelligence and the School of linguistics.

HSE has teamed up with the University of California at San Diego (ranked 14^th on the ARWU ranking, 41^st on THE, and 59^th on QS) to launch the new Data Structures and Algorithms specialization on Coursera. The specialization is taught completely in English and consists of five interrelated courses. Registration is open until March 7.

On October 18, 2015 for the first time ever, the Faculty of Computer Science at HSE will host the quarter-finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest, ACM ICPC.

Sergey Avdoshin, Head of the School of Software Engineering became member of the Programme Committee of the 7th International Conference on Software Business.

On September 6-11, 2015 the 39th Information Technologies and Systems Conference will take place at Hotel 'Imeretinskiy', which is situated in the Olympic village, Sochi, Russia. Conference organisers invite young researchers to submit the abstracts of their projects.
