Semyon Savkin, a graduate of Moscow School No. 57 and student of HSE University’s Bachelor's Programme in Applied Mathematics and Information, has won gold in theInternational Olympiad in Informatics individual all-around among school students from 87 countries. In the unofficial team race, Russia shares second place with USA and Iran.
Any student or 2020 graduate of a Russian or international university is eligible to take part in the Student Research Paper Competition. Papers can be submitted from September 1 to October 15. The competition has been held at HSE University since 2003.

Out of 200 submitted papers, 32 works by high school, undergraduate and graduate students participated in the event. Classes in the Master of Data Science programme have recently begun. This is the first Master’s programme in Russia taught entirely online on Coursera global educational platform. All classes are conducted in English.
This year 1500 participants from 100 countries took part in the Junction International Hackathon.
