HSE students decided to find out how exactly different quarantine measures affect the spread of coronavirus. In the simulation, you can see how self-isolation and hygiene procedures followed by city residents affect the COVID-19 infection rate. Bogdan Chechin, the project participant, told HSE Life how the simulation works.
In 2018 Polina graduated from Faculty of Computer Science’s Applied Mathematics and Computer Science bachelor programme with honours. While studying, she worked for three years in Bayesian Methods Research Group. Last year Polina began PhD programme at the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering, Cornell University (USA).
