HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science and Skoltech have organised Statistical Learning Theory Olympiad for the third time. The Olympiad’s main award is admission to the HSE University and Skoltech joint master’s programme.
The classes in the Master of Data Science programme started three months ago. This is the first Master’s degree in Russia offered fully online, with all the courses delivered on Coursera. The students of the first cohort and one of the instructors have shared their impressions.
On June 23, the HSE Business Incubator will launch a new acceleration programme for business projects at the pre-seed stage (taking them from the prototype to their first sales). Start-ups developed by HSE University students and staff can participate in the programme for free.

HSE students decided to find out how exactly different quarantine measures affect the spread of coronavirus. In the simulation, you can see how self-isolation and hygiene procedures followed by city residents affect the COVID-19 infection rate. Bogdan Chechin, the project participant, told HSE Life how the simulation works.
